Bryan co-founded AK Strategies in January 2026 where he serves as Senior Partner.  AK Strategies is a full service, multi-state government relations firm located in Nashville, serving clients across various industries with emphasis on state procurement, advocacy support, and business development in the public and private sectors.

Bryan began his political career as a fundraiser for state and federal candidates, as well as the Tennessee House and Senate Republican Caucus.  Over the years, Bryan served as finance director for the Tennessee Republican Party, The Tennessee Victory program, as well as for numerous federal officials including Senator Lamar Alexander, Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, Congressman Phil Roe, and State Representative and Tennessee House Speaker Beth Harwell.  Additionally, Bryan served on the finance committee for Governor Bill Lee and Governor Bill Haslam.

In 2015, Bryan left the fundraising arena when he was hired by the CEO of Acadia Healthcare, a national leader in behavioral health and addiction treatment.  As Vice President and ultimately Senior Vice President of Government Relations Bryan was responsible for initiating a government relations strategy that included advocacy issues, regulatory affairs, and recruiting and managing a network of nearly 40 lobbyists for their 300 facilities across 40 states.  Bryan also initiated and coordinated the company’s PAC which included the fundraising, strategy and distribution of contributions.

Prior to AK Strategies, Bryan was a Principal at Vogel Group, an international government affairs and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, D.C.  Bryan was a co-partner in initiating and managing the Tennessee footprint.  He helps clients understand and influence policy, address regulatory challenges in their industry, and procure contracts and funding.

Bryan is a graduate of Marquette University and is active with his church including serving as Chair of the Parish Council.  Bryan also served on the Board of Jason Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of youth and teen suicide.  During the Haslam Administration, Bryan was appointed by Governor Bill Haslam to serve as the Alcohol and Beverage Commissioner for middle Tennessee.

Bryan is married to Elizabeth, and they have three boys.  Bryan enjoys coaching his boys’ athletic programs and playing golf with any left over time.
